How to Remove Creases from a Paint by Numbers Canvas
Creases Are Normal (and Easy to Fix)
If you've ever unboxed a paint by numbers kit and noticed a few creases, don't worry—they're completely normal. Canvases can develop wrinkles during packaging and shipping, but they're easy to flatten before you begin painting.
Here are some simple methods that work well.

Method 1: Flatten It Under Heavy Books
Lay the canvas on a clean, flat surface and place several heavy books on top.
Leaving it overnight is often enough to flatten lighter creases without any additional effort
Method 2: Iron the Back of the Canvas
For deeper creases, you can carefully iron the back of the canvas.
-
Use the lowest heat setting.
-
Place a towel or cloth between the iron and the canvas.
-
Never iron directly on the printed front.
-
Keep the iron moving at all times
This method works well for removing stubborn fold lines
A Better Way to Avoid Creases
